Harvesting Hope
Harvesting Hope is dedicated to addressing the prevalent disparities in the Mississippi Delta. In a region where many single mothers face daily struggles to make ends meet, this program has become a beacon of transformation, significantly improving their lives.
The Harvesting Hope: FRESH (Food Revival through Economic Empowerment, Systems Change, and Health Security) Initiative of the Reuben V. Anderson Center for Justice (non-profit) is jobs training and reentry services program for a cohort of ten (10) low-income, formerly incarcerated, single mothers who are currently receiving living-wage, flexible employment working on farms and food systems in the Mississippi Delta, financial literacy training, and soft skills and career development preparation to transition out of the criminal justice system as part of our current partnership with Share Our Strength.
